PFA's objectives:
The Polish Filmmakers Association unites film creators and ancillary film employees in common goals to: protect the filmmaking profession, protect filmmakers’ legal and related rights, preserve the dignity of this professional group, develop professional ethics for filmmakers, preserve their creative freedom, and lobby for conditions to ensure full development of art and film culture.
PFA’s responsibilities:
- representing filmmakers’ interests in Poland and abroad;
- protecting moral, legal and property rights of Polish filmmakers;
- providing common rights management; protecting author’s and related rights;
- cooperating with institutions and governmental bodies on vital issues for the cinematography and audiovisual branch;
- promoting Polish cinematography and its achievements in Poland and abroad;
- supporting scientific and educational projects in the film area;
- helping PFA members and their families; supporting members in poor living conditions;
- helping form proper relationships between film creators and producers.
