
In today meeting in Warsaw participated: Gianfranco Nappi – Assessore all’Agricultura, Turisma e Cultura Regione Campania, Claudio Gubitosi – Art Director of Film Festival in Giffoni, representatives of Polish Filmmakers Association: Andrzej Roman Jasiewicz –Circle of Directors of Films for Children and Youth - President, Agnieszka Mazińska – Manager of the Program “Polish Cinema for Young Audiences” and Italian press representatives. It was the continuation of the meeting that took place in Gdynia during 34th Polish Film Festival, Venice and Rome Film Festivals.

The decision about organising International Film Forum - a meeting of writers, filmmakers, distributors, film institutions and organisations was taken during the International Film Festival in Giffoni (Italy) - one of the biggest youth and children film festivals. Its aim is to define the challenges cinematography for youth faces that were created by digitalisation process.
Mr. Gianfranco Nappi stressed that in the last years the cultural models changed dramatically: starting with every-day cuisine tradition and customs till participation in the art and cultural events. Esspecialy acconding to the Youngest and Youth. Culture is not only the way we behave but also what we eat and how we spend our spare time – nowadays the fast-food world of tv series rules in this area.
The government of Campania Region wants to strengthen the cooperation with Giffoni Film Festival organizers and create programs, that will support film production and workshops dedicated for children and youth and stimulate their development on the most important areas of their future intellectual life.
Within the framework of cooperation among Campania Region, Giffoni Film Festival and Polish Filmmakers Association the Polish, Polish Film Institute and Ministry of Culture and National Heritage – Italian Film Meetings will start on 16th November this year. They will be dedicated not only for our young audience. The meeting of representatives of Polish and Italian culture and art will be organised, screening and workshops for children as well.
The Film Meetings will last till the 20th November and will take place in Warsaw in Kino Kultura and in Łódź in Kino Polonia, which belong to the PFA Cinemas Network.
It will be the next step to the International Film Forum dedicated to the situation of cinematography for young audiences in Europe, that will take place in February 2010.
