Submissions to the 5th annual New York Polish Film Festival 2009

05.02  '09

The New York Polish Film Festival (May 5-10, 2009) is open to entries for films made in Poland and by Polish filmmakers.

This year the Festival also incorporates a new special segment to our program with “Neighboring Cinema" - including films from the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and other Eastern-European countries.

Please note that entries to the New York Polish Film Festival (NYPFF) are limited; Organizers tend to include works by many well-established filmmakers, meaning that the level of competition to get a film accepted is very high.

The deadline for submissions to the 5th NYPFF is February 27, 2009.

Eligibility Requirements:
Presentation format is 35mm, HD Cam & BETA Cam only.
For submission purposes only DVD format is requested (4 copies).

Films being considered for Opening and Closing Nights must be North American premieres. All other films must be New York City premieres. With the exception of other film festivals, films must not have had any announced prior public exhibition or distribution, theatrically or on commercial, educational or cable television in the U.S.A. The Festival reserves the right to waive this rule in the case of small non-commercial showings.

Films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English.
