Governing Bodies

The Governing Bodies of the Association are composed of: the General Assembly, the General Board headed by the President of the Polish Filmmakers Association, the Auditing Committee and the Amicable Court. The Association is composed of sections and autonomous circles grouping members based on their activities and their professional categories. The Presidents of the sections and circles are members of the General Board of the Polish Filmmakers Association. Circles, guilds, and creative groups may be established within the Association, as long as their activities are in accordance with the Statutes of the Polish Filmmakers Association.

The President of the General Board of the Association is Jacek Bromski. The Vice-presidents are Janusz Chodnikiewicz and Janusz Kijowski.

The General Assembly is convened every four years. Its competences include: the election of the President of the General Board of the Polish Filmmakers Association, the election of members of the Board, the adoption of guidelines governing substantial and financial/economic activities of the Association of Polish Filmmakers, and the approval of reports of the General Board.

The General Board manages the activities of PFA between meetings of the General Assembly. It is headed by the President of the Polish Filmmakers Association.

The Auditing Committee is responsible for financial inspection of PFA’s activities and assessing their merits.

The Amicable Court is responsible for conducting examinations and rendering judgments in cases of violations of Statute regulations, resolutions and other principles of PFA’s governing bodies and in cases of violation of profession ethics.

The particular competences and responsibilities of PFA’s governing bodies are listed in the PFA Statutes.
