Polish Cinema for Young Audiences in Rimini

At 24th Cartoon Club - International Festival of Animation Cinema and Comics in Rimini Polish Filmmakers Association organized many screenings: presenting Witold Giersz’s films retrospective, films produced in Animation Film Studio in Poznań, polish animation achievements and diploma films made by students of Art Academy in Cracow. All with financial support of the Polish Film Institute.

Cartoon Club Festival is one of the biggest cultural summer events in Rimini. Screenings are organized every day in the open air cinema on Fellini Square: in the afternoon for youngest audience and in the evening experimental and artistic films for adults.

The audience welcomed polish films all with great interest and Witold Giersz was greeted warmly during his screenings. Ryszard Rutkowski - president of Apollo Films from Cracow and Andrzej Roman Jasiewicz - President of the PFA’s Section of Directors of Children and Teenagers Films participated in meetings with other filmmakers and press. The Director of Cartoon Club Festival - Mrs. Sabrina Zanetti invited Polish animation artists to the festival edition next year.

Witold Giersz was also the President of Jury, that chose best film taking part in the contest.

"Polish Cinema for Young Audiences" Program is carried out by the Association of Polish Filmmakers with the financial support of the Polish Film Institute.
